Pass GO and collect the brand-new official MONOPOLY: Royal Leamington Spa Edition game, which has just hit the shops.
The board, released this morning, showcases the great and good of the famous and much-loved Regency town from the Royal Pump Rooms to The Parade.
And Third Kind Games get to land on our very own square too!
We feature on on the board representing the thriving games industry in our area, which coined the phrase ‘Silicon Spa’.
“We have been wonderfully spoiled for choices putting this game together,” says Ella Gibbs, Custom Games Executive at Winning Moves UK, the makers producing the board under license from Hasbro, a leading toy and game company.
There are 30+ Royal Leamington Spa Edition landmarks showcased on the board.
The top ranked Mayfair square from the classic MONOPOLY original game goes to Jephson Gardens. The game’s most affordable square - Old Kent Road in the original - is handed over to The Queen Victoria Statue. Inbetween are some of Leamington’s most popular landmarks and organisations, including The Royal Pump Rooms, the Royal Spa Centre, The Parade, Royal Leamington Spa College and the Town Hall.
Three charities also feature - The Myton Hospices, Helping Hands and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The money is customised too! All denominations include two symbols that are part of the lives and legend of the town: Elephants and the Hitchman Fountain.
Over the last 25 years Winning Moves UK has produced official versions of MONOPOLY from Dubai and Dublin to Palm Springs and Phuket. Now the MONOPOLY dice have landed on Royal Leamington Spa!
