Third Kind Games achieves GOLD in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Awards

We’re over the moon to announce that Third Kind Games has been awarded Gold in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index 2023/24! That means we’ve shown that we’ve successfully embedded mental health into the way we work and operate, ensuring we have a variety of best practice approaches and demonstrating a long-term, in-depth commitment to our team’s mental health.

Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index is a benchmark of best policy and practice in workplace wellbeing, designed to celebrate the good work employers are doing to promote positive mental health and provide key recommendations on the specific areas where there is room to improve.

This year was our first year participating in the Index, and Mind surveyed almost 19,000 employees across 55 employers participating in the Index.

A Wellbeing Champion in our midst

The good news didn’t stop there, however! Arianna Molinari, our Office Manager at Third Kind Games, was also shortlisted as part of the Index as one of the top five out of almost 300 nominations to be recognised for her outstanding work as a Wellbeing Champion.

The Wellbeing Champion, as defined by Mind Charity, is a colleague who goes above and beyond to push the mental health agenda by tackling stigma, sharing their personal experiences, and/or setting up initiatives.

We’re incredibly proud of Arianna for receiving this well deserved recognition for all the work she does around mental health and wellbeing in our studio.

Darren Bowen, Chief Operating Officer at Third Kind Games, said:

“Mental health and supporting our team has been important to us at Third Kind from the start and has been an evolving journey for us. It’s fantastic to see our commitment validated by being awarded Gold in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index and we look forward to seeing how we can further improve and support everyone here at Third Kind.”

Andrew Vale, Director of Commercial Income at Mind, said:

“We’re thrilled to celebrate organisations like Third Kind Games, who have demonstrated to their staff that they value and support their wellbeing as a priority. Good mental health is vitally important in the workplace. We spend a huge amount of time at work, and it can - and does - have an impact on our mental health. That’s why the commitment that Third Kind have made to their employees is really significant in ensuring people can get the mental health support they might need.

“Our Workplace Wellbeing Index continues to be the gold standard for mental health and wellbeing best practice in the workplace. This year’s Index took place against ongoing challenges, with political uncertainty at a high and legislative changes on the horizon. With this in mind, it’s important we continue to prioritise the mental health and wellbeing support we offer at work.”
